Troubleshooting Fillable Form Errors
Here are the most common fillable form errors and how to fix them:
Fillable Fields Not Working or All Checkboxes Solid
When LactForms fillable fields don't work or the checkboxes appear filled in (solid), the usual reason is that the PDF file was opened in the wrong app/program. This can happen when the file is opened by clicking the filename itself. If your system isn't set up to open PDFs directly in the free Adobe Acrobat app/program, the file will open in your device's default PDF reader program/app or browser, which may not support Adobe PDFs.

"Ding" Sound When Editing Fillable Fields
Hearing a “ding” (error sound) means there is more text than allowed. So delete or abbreviate some text, or change the styling (available only on desktops and laptops, see here).
Plus Sign At End of Fillable Field
Like the "ding" sound, a plus sign means there is more text than allowed. Delete or abbreviate some text, or change the styling (available only on desktops and laptops, see here).
